Photos are here, but at the end!!

Well, Nathan Lee has arrived! 8 lbs 5 oz's and 19.5 inches long! We have been blessed with the most precious miracle ever, I could never have imagined such a perfect baby would be ours!! We are so happy! It was a long and very rough journey but Nathan was born! We went in Friday morning, May 30th at 5 am so I could be induced - due to the low amniotic fluid and large measuring baby!

Nathan wouldn't cooperate at 1st, he had to settle down so that his heart rate would be with in the right range to start the induction, but he wouldn't sit still and his heart rate was up. He finally sat still and they were able to start me on the Pitocin at 6:30ish. At 7:55 the doc came in and broke my water since I was already at 3 cm. I was elated as the doc said he sees the baby coming by 4 to 5pm since things were progressing so well. I began to feel very strong contractions and I kept holding on to see how long I could go before the epidural. Well, a few hours pass with what the nurse called perfect contraction patterns of 1 contraction at a high intensity every 2 mins. I was so happy cause it wasn't too late in the day yet. I finally got an epidural at 10:30am as I couldn't handle the intense contractions any longer on my own. The epidural itself is no fun - to ask me to squish forward and roll myself up around my HUGE baby belly and not to move while having a contraction so you can stick a huge needle into my spine... AHHHH no fun! BUT it was wonderful, no more intense pain! Well, I kept progressing by about 1 cm an hour until about 6pm then I was stuck at 9 cm for a while... right before 9pm I was fully dialated and ready to push. I began pushing and the epidural wore off.... OH MY TALK ABOUT PAIN! I was trying so hard but was in such intense pain, after over an hour of major pushing and pain the doc came in and examined me, he said baby was stuck in my pelvis and we'd have to go in for an emergency C-Section... at this point that was music to my ears as I was in such agony! We went to the OR and Chad came in in his scrubs, we then heard the most wonderful sound in the whole world at 10:39pm when Nathan made his entrance and cried a big old cry!

Since Nate was born a month early the NICU nurses let me kiss his cheek then swept him away to assess him. After 6hrs of getting his blood sugar, temperature, and breathing on track they determinded he did not need the NICU and brought him to my room- FINALLY! Those were the longest 6 hrs ever!! I was so excited to see and hold him for the first time! He was absolutely beautiful!!

Since we have been home we have basically changed a million diapers, gone to the Pediatrician for a weight check and he went from 7lb 9 oz's (from when we left the hospital) to 7lbs 12oz's, tried to sleep, tried to figure out what different cries mean, and tried to figure out what we are doing. The first day and night home were a lot rougher than we imagined they would be. But things are coming along real well!

So here are some pictures of our first few days together!
Here I am the morning of the induction, my last photo pregnant with Nathan.

My 1st second to see & kiss him:

Here is our 1st bag of dirty diapers after only 1 day and a half of being home... and for those of you who wrote us wonderful sayings on them at one of the baby showers... you can see them here... hahaha! Paw-Paw we got yours that says to give you credit
for it, well it was a poopy one!! :)
