Little Heart & Open Heart

Little heart - here's a quick update about our doctor's appt today... baby Nate is doing great, his Biophysical Profile sonogram said his fluid is up even more to 9.09!! And he scored a perfect score again out off all they measure for the test, which includes his little heartrate! We are still on bed rest until he is born, and we are still going to the doctor twice a week for the BPP sonograms & visit. All the wonderful prayers and support are appreciated so much more than we can thank you for!

Open heart - Chad's dad has a tumor in his heart - medically known as an atrial myxoma - it's located in the left upper chamber of his heart. Here's a quick background story - about 3 weeks ago Chad's dad called his mom from work saying, "somethings not right come get me and take me to the ER" he ended up having had a stroke that morning. As part of the follow-up they put a camera/scope down his throat to check things out, this past Monday. They told him he had to go on blood thinners for blood clots. When the doctors reviewed his results from the camera/scope procedure they found he either had a large clot or a tumor, but the Chief Cardiologist was leaning towards a tumor. Chad's dad was called at home and told to immediately stop the blood thinners (as that is not the treatment for a tumor and is actually a very bad thing that could make things much worse for a tumor), and to get to the hospital right away. So he went in, had more tests, and they confirmed that the mass is a tumor. He will have to have open heart surgery in the next few days to remove the tumor, so that it doesn't break off and block something, or anything else. Since this is a holiday weekend they might not get to the surgery until this upcoming Tuesday or Wednesday. He is staying in the hospital until the surgery and he will then have a 5 to 7 day recovery in the hospital after surgery, that is as long as all goes well. He will also have a 4 to 6 week home recovery, again if all goes well. This has been a stressful past few weeks for my in-laws, and they are sad too that they will miss Nathan's baby shower this weekend and such. Chad and I are asking for you to join us in lifting them up to our Lord in prayer, that the surgery goes well, the surgeon's do the very best they can do, and he recovers well. Also, please pray for their mental/emotional state, as they are both very worn out with so many difficult things going through their minds.

Thank you all for your love and support and of course the prayers!!!

Now here are some photos from today of me 35 weeks pregnant, since I am on bed rest we took the photos right after the doctor's visit -cause I was already dressed :)

And now - just for fun - here's a photo of me in the same shirt at 19 weeks pregnant, so for comparison see how I've grown and swelled up... hahaha :) - I just thought I was huge at 19 weeks... I still had a lot of growing to do.
