Yay for amniotic fluid!!

I am feeling really good today after another sonogram! I am 34 wks & some days pregnant and currently on bed rest until our precious bundle of joy enters the world. I am on bed rest due to low amniotic fluid… it’s supposed to be between 5 and 25, well mine was 6, then 7, then 7.8, and now today it’s 8.6!!! Whooohooo, Praise the LORD! I never knew I could get so happy over fluid! Thanks for all the prayers and emails of encouragement!! The more fluid he has the better for a ton of reasons, it’s very crucial for my growing baby to have enough fluid. And a side note to any expecting mom: be VERY careful what you google online… we read and cried over so many horror stories when we googled low fluid… but have learned from the doc all is well in our case and things are going better each day! So when you learn something about your baby and yourself, be super cautious what you google, or maybe have someone else google, then filter, then share some info with you.
I am still going to the doc twice a week for 2 sonograms a week, they do a biophysical profile which is a little test to see baby’smovements, him practicing breathing, his heartrate, and the level of fluid… each category gets either 2pts for good or 0 pts for bad, so we got 8 out of 8 today!!! Way to go baby Nate! We also got to see our son’s shock reaction… the sono tech pulled out this little flashlight looking thing placed it on my gelled up belly and “BZZZZZZZZZD” our son, we got to see his little arms jerk out as he was reacting to the buzz. She quickly said, “sometimes this is the only way we can wake them up”. Hahahaha! After Chad and I “awwww poor baby” commented we laughed as it was really cute!
So onto more bedrest and drinking so much water that I feel as if I could float away at any moment!
